Phil Lynott

There is no Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame vast enough to accommodate the legacy of the late, great Philip Parris Lynott – the creative genius behind Thin Lizzy.

He is beloved, revered, and emulated by indie and classic rockers, punks, and metal heads alike.

With his instrument ergonomically positioned chest high, this eternally brilliant Dublin by-way-of Birmingham working-class poet bared his restless romantic soul in compositions and performances that were quixotic, cocksure, contemplative, cavalier, and most jubilant.

To respectfully paraphrase Dr. Winston O’Boogie: if you tried to give rock ‘n’ roll bass another name – you might call it…Phil Lynott!
