John Wetton

A distinguished recording and performing artist, vocalist, composer, collaborator, producer, and a valued sideman - the late John Wetton’s legacy lives on in stellar sides by King Crimson, Asia, U.K. Bryan Ferry, Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, Brian Eno, and Phil Manzanera, among others.

With an expansive harmonic and rhythmic vocabulary, Wetton’s tone varied given the musical situation at hand, ranging from a traditional bottom end to an overtly treble laden abrasive timbre – the latter which is mainly evident on Crimson’s more aggressive offerings such as Red (1974) and their incendiary live collection USA (1975).
