Iggy Pop / Lust for Life

Waxed in West Berlin in ‘77, Iggy’s sophomore slab which prominently featured bassist Tony Sales, along with his brother Hunt, producer / co-conspirator / composer keyboardist David Jones; and guitarists Carlos Alomar and Rick Gardiner - was a watershed fusion of art, punk pop and hard rock.

Plying a jagged tone and preference for the lower register, Tony’s taut motifs define such classic Pop/Bowie tunes including “The Passenger,” “Some Weird Sin,” and the title track- which was based on the rhythm of the Armed Forces Network call signal and Bo Diddley.
