At this juncture, ‘ol Whistle Rhymes dispatched with any semblance of bottom end resonance on his Alembic V, opting for a biting treble tone that barely cut through the barrage of Tim Gorman’s tinny synthesizers. However even a modest ‘Oo collection is far superior to most, and if you listen closely, you can revel in the late great bassist’s hammer-ons, finger taps, glissandos, and contrapuntal pluckery
