The Fab four string was not the sole domain of Sir Paul. John waxed a few bass tracks (most notably "Helter Skelter") and George oft doubled Macca's bass performances on guitar to bolster the Beatles' bottom resonance. To my knowledge, Hari actually played the instrument on “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer,” “She Said She Said,” “Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight,” “Old Brown Shoe,” “Birthday” (six string bass with John),  and “Back in the USSR.” Beatles buffs please weigh in…
